Julian has already invested £100,000 into Cyclaire, such is his belief that he’s hit upon a revolutionary idea.
Cyclaire technology is a pull cord system for pumps. It can be used on almost anything inflatable but its main uses will be bicycle tyres, airbeds and rubber dinghies. It’s simple to use, low tech and extremely fast.
With Julian’s prize money he will develop Cypod – a more compact, lighter version of the Cyclaire pump - which he claims will be the smallest and fastest bicycle pump in the world.
Julian was a firm favourite with the voting audience, picking up an incredible 41% of the votes on the night of the final.
And two of these lucky voters have won a 5% share in the winning idea or £5,000 simply for believing in him. Congratulations to Kevin and Peter.
Congratulations must also go to Julian’s fellow finalists and the Wildcard winner, Paul Sheedy. Read up on the finalists below.
